Cala Marçal

Porto Colom's main sandy beach, a short curve of pale-yellow sand at the head of a small inlet a few minutes' walk south of the harbour. The water is shallow and clear, the seabed is sandy rather than rocky, and there is a swimming buoy line that keeps boats away from the bathing area — all of which make it ideal for families with small children.

The beach has the usual summer infrastructure: sunbed and parasol rental, a small chiringuito serving sandwiches and drinks, and showers. It can get full on August weekends; come early or in the shoulder season for space to breathe.
