Hipodromo Beach is a quieter stretch of Melilla's waterfront, with fine sand and usually calm water. It is easy to reach from the city and has the basic services that make it useful for a simple swim: showers, toilets, and beach bars nearby.
It is not the beach for drama or isolation. Its appeal is the opposite: an unfussy place to cool off when the central beaches feel busy.
