Platja del Nord is the beach most visitors mean when they say Gandía beach. It is broad, sandy, watched in season, and lined with the usual restaurants, rentals, and summer life.
This is not a lonely stretch of coast, but it does its job well. The useful trick is to treat it as one half of the city, then spend the other half inland among the palace, church, and old streets.
