Castillo de la Alqueria is a modest ruin, but the climb gives useful context for the village. The remaining towers, cistern, and wall lines recall the Moorish farming settlement that once controlled this part of the valley.
Do not expect a restored monument. Go for the walk, the views, and the way the site ties the modern spa village to an older defensive landscape.
