Pou Clar Natural Pool

Pou Clar is a series of natural rock pools on the Clariano River about 2 km from the town centre, formed where the river drops over limestone ledges to create pools deep enough for swimming. The water is cold (16–18°C year-round) and very clear, and the pools are fringed by vegetation in a narrow gorge. Local teenagers use the higher ledges for cliff jumping.

The site is free to access and popular with locals from spring through autumn. There are basic facilities nearby. The walk from town along the river path takes about 30 minutes. It is one of the more attractive natural swimming spots in the interior Valencia region and entirely uncommercialized.

A story
Pou Clar translates as "clear well" — the water that fills these limestone pools comes directly from a spring and is filtered through the rock, which gives it an unusual clarity and keeps it cold even in summer. The site was used as a communal washing area and water source by the town for centuries before becoming a recreational spot in the 20th century.
