Torre Badum is a rugged coastal watchtower south of Peniscola, standing above the cliffs of Serra d'Irta Natural Park. It belongs to the chain of defensive towers that once watched this stretch of Mediterranean coast, but today the main reason to come is the open sea view.
The tower makes a good short excursion when you want a break from the old town and castle. The surrounding park is exposed and dry, so avoid the hottest part of summer days and bring water if you plan to walk beyond the viewpoint.
