Fors kyrka is Eskilstuna's oldest church and one of its most important historic buildings. Its origins go back to the eleventh century and Saint Eskil, though the church took much of its present form in the seventeenth century.
The church is a short walk from the centre and pairs well with Rademacher Forges and the industrial heritage sights along the river. It gives Eskilstuna a deeper time frame than the factories and workshops that usually define the city.
