Sormlandsgarden

Sormlandsgarden is an open-air museum showing what a central Swedish farm looked like in the 19th century. The preserved buildings, yards, and domestic details make it a useful counterpoint to Eskilstuna's better-known industrial heritage.

It is a low-key stop rather than a blockbuster museum, but a good one if you want to understand the rural landscape that surrounded the old factory town. The on-site inn, Pilkrog, is known locally for lunch.
