Haparanda's old water tower is a modest landmark rather than a major sight, but in a town this flat even a small tower changes the view. It is most useful as a marker while walking the centre and getting your bearings between the river, the station, and the Finnish border.
Treat it as part of a town walk, not as a reason to come on its own.
