Naturum Dalarna sits on Björkberget above Siljansnäs, about 14 kilometres northwest of Leksand. The exhibitions explain Dalarna's forests, wildlife, and geology, but the reason to go is the tower: a modern wooden lookout with a wide view over Lake Siljan.
It works best on a clear day, especially if you want the landscape context before exploring the villages around the lake.
