The southern town-mountain, opposite Norra Stadsberget across the city. The Södra Berget Hotel sits on top with a panoramic restaurant; non-guests can ride the elevator up for a view across the harbour and out to Alnön. In winter, the slope has a small downhill ski operation with one chairlift; in summer it becomes a mountain-biking trail centre.
The walking trail up from the south side of Stenstan takes about 35 minutes. Combine with Norra Stadsberget for a long day of city-skirting walks.
