Lag da Breil — the Brigelser See in German — is a small alpine lake set in the meadows just east of the village at around 1,300 metres. It's an easy walk from the village centre, taking perhaps 20 minutes, and the lake is a pleasant spot for a picnic, a swim in summer, or simply to sit and look at the surrounding ridgeline.
The lake formed after a landslide dammed a small valley. The Romansh name follows the village name — "Lag" simply means "lake" — and it appears on the landscape with the matter-of-fact naming style typical of Romansh geography. In winter, when conditions allow, it freezes over and becomes a skating surface.
