Stockalper Palace is Brig's clear highlight, a 17th-century statement by Kaspar Stockalper, the merchant who grew rich on the Simplon route. Its three towers and arcaded courtyard feel grander than the town around them, which is exactly the point.
The courtyard and garden are the easy visit; guided tours take you further inside. Even if you are only changing trains, this is the reason to leave the station.
