The Panoramawanderweg — panoramic trail — runs between the Sternen lift station (1,856 m) and the Spirstock (1,826 m), crossing easy alpine terrain with unobstructed views across the mountains of cantons Schwyz, Uri, and Glarus. On a clear day you can see the Mythen peaks directly to the north and, further out, the curve of Lake Lucerne glittering below.
The route is about 4 km one way and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours at a relaxed pace. The trail is well marked and almost entirely flat, making it suitable for all fitness levels including children. You can do the walk in either direction and return by lift. In summer this is probably the single best reason to come to Hoch-Ybrig — the combination of easy access via chairlift and genuinely spectacular scenery.
