A former industrial quarter in the valley between Lausanne's hills, now converted into the city's liveliest district. The old warehouses have become bars, galleries, cinemas, and restaurants. It is particularly good on warm evenings when the terraces fill up. The area also hosts the mudac (Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts) and regular outdoor events.
