Reformed Church of Schiers

The Reformed Church at the top of the old village has parts dating back to the 15th century — a late-Gothic choir, a tall whitewashed nave, and the typical bare interior of a Reformed church in the Bündner Reformation tradition. The Prättigau was one of the early Reformed regions in eastern Switzerland and the village has been Protestant since 1622.

The graveyard around the church holds the dead of generations of valley families with names like Bardill, Ardüser, and Salzgeber. The church is generally open during the day; quiet visits are welcome.
