Tetney Marshes

Humber saltmarsh reserve with big skies, waders, wildfowl, and a wilder edge.

Tetney Marshes are the wilder counterweight to the resort seafront. The reserve protects saltmarsh and mudflat habitat on the Humber, with waders and wildfowl moving through in numbers when the tide and season are right.

This is not a manicured nature park. Paths and access are simple, the weather matters, and the appeal is the openness of the estuary. Bring binoculars and check the tide if birdwatching is the point of the visit.
