The Red House was the Aldeburgh home of composer Benjamin Britten and tenor Peter Pears. The house, library, studio, gardens, and archive are now run by Britten Pears Arts, and together they give a personal view of the partnership that shaped the Aldeburgh Festival.
It is the strongest indoor sight in town. Even if you are not deeply into classical music, the place explains why Aldeburgh became more than a seaside retreat.
