100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum

This volunteer-run museum occupies surviving buildings from RAF Thorpe Abbotts, the wartime base of the US 100th Bomb Group. The control tower, artefacts, photographs, and airfield remains turn a quiet patch of Norfolk into a very direct Second World War stop.

It is east of Diss rather than in the town centre, so you need a car, bike, or taxi. Check opening days carefully; the museum is usually seasonal and not open every day.
