Little Woodham is a living-history village in Gosport, set up to recreate rural life in the mid-seventeenth century. Costumed interpreters demonstrate crafts, household work, food, tools, and the religious and political anxieties of the 1640s without turning it into a theme-park spectacle.
It is most rewarding when the village is fully staffed and active, so check opening days before travelling. For families and history-minded visitors it gives Gosport a human-scale counterpoint to naval forts, submarines, and harbour defences.
