Warsash Clock Tower

The slender brick clock tower in the centre of the village began life as a Victorian water tower, picking up its clock and memorial role only after the First World War. The repurposed structure is one of the village's most distinctive landmarks and stands at a triangular junction near the parade of shops on Brook Lane.

A pause-and-look monument rather than a destination. Visible from anywhere in the village centre.

A story
The tower was built as a water tower in 1899 to supply the growing village. A clock was added in 1928 as a war memorial — the four faces look in the four cardinal directions and the chime, restored in the 1990s, can be heard from the riverbank on quiet evenings.
