The highest point of the North Downs ridge, reaching 269.6 metres and offering views north toward the London skyline and south across the Weald toward the South Downs. Botley Hill is accessible on foot from Woldingham — the walk across the ridge takes about 45 minutes from the village. The summit is open farmland with a trig point; the views on a clear day extend 30 miles or more in both directions. A popular destination for cyclists on the Box Hill loop, as the descent into the Weald is long and fast. On foot, the return through the woodland east of Woldingham is the more interesting route.
