Kynance Cove is the Lizard at its most theatrical: pale sand, clear water, offshore stacks, and dark red-green serpentine polished by the sea. At low tide the beach opens into caves, pools, and rock passages; at high tide much of that space disappears, so check times before you go.
It has been famous since Victorian travel became fashionable, but the cove still earns the attention. Walk in from Lizard village or combine it with Lizard Point on the coast path for one of Cornwall's best short days.
