Sherborne Museum occupies the abbey gatehouse, a good address for a town whose history keeps folding back on itself. Inside are local objects, photographs, and stories from the abbey, schools, shops, and surrounding villages.
It is a modest museum, but useful after the abbey because it adds human scale to the stonework outside.
