Somerset County Cricket Ground

The County Ground has been the home of Somerset County Cricket Club since 1882 and remains one of the most picturesque grounds on the county circuit, with St James's church tower in plain view over the pavilion roof. The ground is small by modern standards — capacity around 8,000 — but the atmosphere on a championship day is exactly what county cricket should feel like.

International one-day matches and the Vitality Blast T20 nights pack the ground out. The Somerset Cricket Museum at the ground holds a small but interesting collection including Ian Botham and Viv Richards memorabilia from the club's celebrated 1980s side.
