Dunseverick Castle

Ruined cliff-top castle on the Causeway Coast, quieter than Dunluce but wonderfully exposed.

Dunseverick Castle is little more than a fragment now, but its position on the Causeway Coast gives it real force. The ruin stands above black rock, surf, and open sea, with the coastal path running past in both directions.

It is a good stop if you are walking or driving between Bushmills and the Giant's Causeway. Dunluce has the drama and the masonry; Dunseverick has wind, space, and the feeling of an older defensive line reduced to its last stones.
