Glyndwr's Way starts in Knighton and heads into one of the quieter parts of Wales: moorland, farms, forest, and small towns linked to Owain Glyndwr's early-15th-century rebellion. It is less famous than Offa's Dyke Path, which is part of the appeal.
You do not need nine or ten days to appreciate it. A short out-and-back from Knighton gives a taste of the empty Mid Wales hills and explains why walkers who like solitude rate this trail so highly.
