Usk Rural Life Museum

Volunteer-run museum of Monmouthshire rural life in a former malt barn.

Usk Rural Life Museum is housed in a former malt barn on New Market Street. Its collection covers farm tools, carts, domestic rooms, trades, and other pieces of Monmouthshire country life from roughly the Victorian period into the mid-20th century.

It is a modest local museum, but a good one. Visit it before or after the castle and the town reads less like a postcard and more like a working rural centre with memory still attached.
