Jost Van Dyke has no airport. The main way in is by ferry from West End (Soper's Hole) on Tortola, a trip of about 25 minutes on a regular scheduled service. The ferry also runs from Road Town on Tortola, though less frequently. Check the current schedule with Road Town Ferry Terminal or New Horizon Ferry Service, as it changes seasonally.
Sailors arrive independently — Great Harbour and White Bay are both popular anchorages, and clearing customs and immigration is done at the office in Great Harbour. Day charters from St Thomas, St John (USVI), or Tortola also bring visitors for the day. There are no car rentals on the island, but the distances are small enough to walk or hire a taxi jeep for excursions to the east end.
