Elbow Falls is the classic Bragg Creek outing: a short, mostly easy walk from the parking area to viewpoints over a rocky drop in the Elbow River. It is popular because it gives a quick hit of mountain scenery without a long hike.
Go early on warm weekends, when Calgary day-trippers fill the parking area. Highway 66 beyond the area has seasonal winter closures, so check road conditions if you are using the falls as a starting point for a longer drive.
