Fort Calgary

Fort Calgary marks the 1875 Northwest Mounted Police post at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow rivers, the place around which modern Calgary developed. The original fort is gone, but the site is now a museum and historic area covering early Calgary, the police post, and the city's growth from a frontier settlement into a major western Canadian city.

Its location beside Inglewood makes it easy to combine with a walk through Calgary's oldest neighbourhood.
