The Owl's Nest was Calgary's go-to for special-occasion French dining, tucked inside the Westin Hotel at 4th Avenue and 3rd Street SW. The restaurant built its reputation on tableside preparations and flambees -- old-school continental service done properly, with waiters who knew how to debone a fish and set brandy on fire without flinching.
Note: The Owl's Nest has closed. The Westin still operates downtown, but the restaurant space has been repurposed.
