The Card Pioneer Home preserves the 1887 log house associated with Charles Ora Card, the Latter-day Saint settler for whom Cardston is named. It is a small museum, but a useful one, because the domestic scale makes the town's founding story easier to grasp than the temple alone.
Expect a short visit rather than a major museum stop. The value is in seeing how modest the first settlement was, and how quickly that frontier beginning became a town with ambitions, institutions, and a strong religious identity.
