The Remington Carriage Museum is Cardston's strongest single sight and one of Alberta's more unexpected museums. Its collection covers horse-drawn transportation in North America, from elegant town carriages and sleighs to working wagons, with displays that explain how status, distance, weather, and road conditions shaped what people drove.
This is not just a shed full of old vehicles. The museum has a restoration shop, stables, and seasonal carriage rides, which make the machinery feel connected to real use. Even if you do not think you care about carriages, give it time; the detail and scale are better than the subject first suggests.
