The Starship FX6-1995-A is the roadside object that makes Vulcan hard to miss. The town unveiled the replica in 1995, naming it after the local airport identifier, the year it was built, and the first major project in its science-and-Trek tourism push.
It is pure roadside theatre, but it works because the town is in on the joke. Pull over for the photos, read the dedication plaque, then cross to the Trek Station to see how far Vulcan has taken the theme.
