100 Mile Nordic Ski Trails

100 Mile House has one of the finest groomed cross-country ski trail networks in British Columbia, maintained by the 100 Mile Nordic club. The trails wind through spruce and pine forest around town, with well-marked routes for all abilities. The Cariboo gets reliable dry snow — often 60 to 80 cm on the ground through winter — and the season typically runs from late November to March.

The town hosted the 1995 Nordic Ski World Cup event, which tells you something about the quality of the terrain. Skating and classic tracks are both groomed. Trail passes are available at the start. Equipment rental is limited locally — bring your own if possible — but the club is welcoming to visitors. This is one of the best reasons to stop in 100 Mile House in winter.
