Clayburn Village is a small heritage village tucked against Sumas Mountain. It was founded in 1905 as British Columbia's first company town, built around a brick plant that gave the settlement its name.
The old schoolhouse, church, store, and workers' houses make this the most pleasant historic walk in Abbotsford. It is compact rather than grand, but the scale is part of the charm: you can see the whole village, stop at the store, and still have plenty of the day left for Sumas Mountain or Mill Lake.
