The Chilliwack Museum and Archives occupies the former city hall, a 1912 brick landmark in the old centre. Exhibits cover the city's farming, river, military, and civic history, with enough local detail to make the surrounding valley feel less anonymous.
It is not the reason to come to Chilliwack, but it is a good bad-weather stop or a useful pairing with a walk around the older downtown streets.
