Malahat Skywalk is a modern timber lookout built above the forest on the Malahat Drive, between Victoria and Duncan. A raised walkway leads through the trees to a spiral tower, where the view opens across Saanich Inlet, the Gulf Islands, the Saanich Peninsula, and the mountains beyond.
It is a managed attraction rather than a wilderness hike, but it gives an accessible version of Vancouver Island's forest-and-water scenery. The spiral ramp makes the tower easier than a conventional climb, and the site works well as a stop while driving between Victoria, Cowichan Valley, and Nanaimo. Clear weather matters: low cloud can flatten the view.
