Langley is about 45 km east of downtown Vancouver along the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1). By car it takes around 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic — the highway through Surrey and Langley can be heavily congested during rush hours. The Expo Line SkyTrain is being extended east through Surrey to Langley City; the extension is expected to open around 2028 and will bring rapid transit directly to Langley for the first time.
TransLink buses serve Langley City from Surrey Central SkyTrain station, though the trip is slow. For Fort Langley village, a car is the practical choice — it sits north of the highway and public transit connections are poor.
