The Nicola Valley Museum and Archives is the place to make sense of Merritt beyond the highway junction. Its collections cover the town and valley through ranching, railways, local families, and Indigenous history, with archives that go deeper than a quick roadside display.
It is a small museum, so do not expect a major institution. Pair it with Baillie House and the Walk of Stars for a compact downtown circuit.
