Galena Trail

Gentle rail-trail route through forest and old mining country near New Denver.

Galena Trail follows a former railway grade between Rosebery and Three Forks, making it one of the easiest ways to get into the Slocan Valley landscape without committing to a hard mountain hike. The route passes forest, creek crossings, old mining traces, and quiet stretches where the valley feels much bigger than the village.

Walk or bike a section from New Denver, or arrange a longer outing if you have transport. The grades are forgiving, which makes the trail good for mixed groups.
