Parksville Community Park is the town's central waterfront, opening onto the wide, shallow beach that defines Parksville for many summer visitors. The tide can pull far out across the sand, leaving warm pools and a big sky view toward the Strait of Georgia.
The park itself is practical as well as scenic, with picnic space, play areas, and easy access from downtown. It is also the setting for Parksville's well-known summer sand sculpture competition, so the beach can feel lively in season and much quieter outside the holiday rush.
