Avatar Grove is a short old-growth forest outing on rough roads inland from Port Renfrew. Boardwalks and trails lead through giant western red cedars and Douglas firs, including some wonderfully twisted trunks.
Road conditions matter, especially after storms. If you have the right vehicle and enough daylight, it is one of the best forest complements to Botanical Beach.
