Botanical Beach

Rocky Pacific beach famous for tide pools, sandstone shelves, and rich intertidal life.

Botanical Beach is the reason many travellers push all the way to Port Renfrew. At low tide, flat rock shelves hold pools filled with anemones, sea stars, chitons, urchins, and other intertidal life.

Timing matters. Go near low tide, step carefully, and do not treat the pools like touch tanks. The beach is beautiful in rough weather too, but the tide pools are the special part.
