Red Mountain Resort is Rossland's main draw in winter, with steep terrain, tree runs, and a local feel that is rougher-edged than the big-name Canadian resorts. It spreads across several peaks just north of town and is known for deep interior British Columbia snow.
It is best for skiers and snowboarders who like natural terrain more than resort polish. Beginners are covered, but the place really earns its reputation once you are comfortable on steeper runs.
