Little Canyon

A short, narrow gorge where the Skeena River squeezes between basalt walls just east of Terrace, near the highway turnoff for Old Lakelse Lake Road. It's much smaller than Kitselas Canyon a few kilometres further upstream, and easy to miss from the road.

There's no developed viewpoint, but a few informal pull-outs above the river give onto the rapids. Local anglers fish the eddies below for steelhead in spring and late autumn. If you're driving east along Highway 16, slow down and watch for it on the river side just before Usk.
