The Wild Pacific Trail is the walk that makes Ucluelet make sense. The Lighthouse Loop is short, well maintained, and full of viewpoints over rocky headlands, the Broken Group Islands, and the open Pacific.
It is an easy trail by west-coast standards, but the atmosphere changes fast with weather. In calm sun it is a scenic stroll; in winter wind it becomes a front-row seat for the ocean.
