Tommy the Turtle is a 28-foot western painted turtle statue at the south end of town. It began as a cheerful symbol of Boissevain's former turtle derby and has become the town's easiest landmark to spot.
This is not high art, but it is honest prairie-roadside fun. The small museum cluster beside it makes the stop more useful than a quick photograph.
