The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre is Morden's best travel reason. Its collection comes from the Late Cretaceous sea that covered Manitoba, and the gallery is strongest on mosasaurs and other marine reptiles pulled from the Pembina Hills.
The headline specimen is Bruce, a huge Tylosaurus pembinensis displayed in the museum. Even if you are not usually a fossil person, the idea that these flat prairie fields were once under a warm inland sea gives the town a much stranger and more memorable story.
